Our SchoolsSince the Sisters of Mercy arrived in Mildura in 1905, the Catholic communities in Sunraysia have benefited from a rich tradition of quality education and care for children. St Anne & St Joachim Parish partners with four Catholic primary schools and one Catholic secondary school which collectively serve over 1,500 students and 500 families.

Sacred Heart
Sacred Heart Primary School was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1906. School enrolment peaked in 1974, at around 550 children. In 1975 St Paul’s was established, and in the years since enrolment at Sacred Heart has stabilised at 350 children from Prep to Year Six.

St Paul’s
St Paul’s Primary School was opened in 1974 by Sacred Heart Parish, in collaboration with the Sisters of Mercy. Current enrolment is 280 students, and new enrolments are accepted from Mildura South and Irymple, as well as Buronga and neighbouring NSW districts.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School was established in 1927 by the Sisters of Mercy. The school community consists of town and rural families from both Victoria and New South Wales. Current school enrolment is approximately 140 students.

St Joseph’s
St Joseph’s School was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1933, and serves families in and around Red Cliffs. Red Cliffs is undergoing consistent population increase, and the present enrolment of about 100 students is projected to rise.

St Joseph’s College
St Joseph’s College was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1906, at the same time as Sacred Heart Primary School. St Joseph’s is a co-educational secondary school of approximately 800 students, and the only secondary school in the region which serves students from Year 7 to Year 12.
